Purpose
Passivation of carbon and alloy steel surfaces. Used with an oxidising additive introduced into the working solution. Supplied as a liquid concentrate; the working solution is prepared on site.
What it does
- Forms a protective film on the cleaned metal against secondary corrosion; it does not remove deposits.
Where it is used
- Boilers, heat exchangers and pipelines after acid cleaning.
- Equipment before start-up or preservation.
Place in the cleaning process
The final stage: after acid cleaning (AlphaCleaner AF) and water rinsing, freshly cleaned metal rusts quickly in air — passivation protects it until it is filled with the operating medium.
