Purpose
Degreasing and alkaline treatment of heavily contaminated surfaces made of carbon steels. Supplied as a liquid concentrate; the working solution is prepared on site.
What it removes
- Oils, greases and preservation coatings.
- Petroleum products and resinous contamination.
- Organic films that hinder acid cleaning.

- New equipment before start-up — removal of preservation grease.
- Vessels and tanks that held petroleum products.
- Heat exchangers and pipelines with oil contamination.
- Assemblies and steel structures before repair and painting.
Place in the cleaning process
The first stage of flushing: alkaline treatment removes organics and loosens deposits, so the subsequent acid cleaning (AlphaCleaner AF) is more complete. For alloy steels — AlphaCleaner B.
